Cultural Committee and Event Management Club

Aim:

The committee main aim is to bring out the talents of the students and encourage the students by promoting and arranging extracurricular activities in the college.

Responsibilities of the Committee-

  1. The Cultural Committee shall be responsible for all intra and inter collegiate cultural events in the College.
  2. To plan and schedule cultural events for the academic year. (Tentative dates to be included in the academic calendar of the college.)
  3. The Convener of the committee shall conduct a meeting of the committee on regular intervals to discuss and allot tasks.
  4. To communicate about various festivals and events to be celebrated in the college and give a wide publicity.
  5. Arranging events/programs for staff and students in coordination with ‘Students Cultural Committee’.

Activities undertaken:

69th Kannada Rajyotsava, 2024

MKPM RV Institute of Legal Studies, Bengaluru celebrated 69th Kannada Rajyotsava 2024 on 29 th November, 2024 at 10:30 AM at Mangala Mantapa, MKPM RVILS, Bengaluru. The Chief Guest of the day was Shri. Y.K. Muddu Krishna, Former Director of Kannada and Samskriti Ilake, Santa Shishunala Sharifa Award Winner, President Karnataka Sugama Sangitha Parishad, Bengaluru. He emphasized on how Karnataka is not just a state but it is our culture and how Kannada is not just our language but also our tradition. The Guest of Honour, Shri. Shravan Prabha, Advocate, High Court of Karnataka, Bengaluru. He spoke regarding advocacy and how to balance our passion with it. He also spoke about the relevance of celebrating Kannada Rajyothsava. The programme was expertly presided over by C A Dr. A.S. Vishnu Bharath, Trustee, R V Educational Institutions, Governing Council Member, MKPM RVILS. He discussed the expansion of the MKPM RV Institute of Legal Studies as well as the significance of the Kannada Rajoytsava celebration. Prof. (Dr.) Anjina Reddy K. R., Principal of MKPM RV Institute of Legal Studies, was also present at the program, graciously chairing it and giving a sincere welcome speech. Principal spoke about the essence and the culture of Karnataka and Kannada and the importance of 69th Kannada Rajyotsava 2024 which is being celebrated at the MKPM RV Institute of Legal Studies, Bengaluru. The Staff and Students attended the program enthusiastically and the students participated in cultural events organized by the college.

Competitions conducted in light of 69th Kannada Rajyotsava, 2024

In light of celebration of 69th Kannada Rajyotvasa, 2024, the Debate and Literary Society and Cultural Club organized a series of competitions from 21st to 23rd November, 2024. The events were: · Kavita Baraha Sparde (Poetry Writing Competition) on the theme“Namma Samskruti” · Aashubhashana Sparde (Pick and Speak Competition) · Prabandha Sparde (Essay Writing Competition)- on the topic “Gokaak varadiya tribhasha soothradinda kannada bhasheya meladha prabhava” · Chitrakala Sparde (Painting Competition) The results were declared and winners were presented with trophies and certificates on the day of celebration of 69th Kannada Rajyotsava, 2024.

Initium: Freshers' Day 2024

Cultural Committee, MKPM RVILS conducted the Freshers' Day, 2024 titled Initium for the batch of 2024- 25 on 19th October, 2024. The programme was presided by Prof. (Dr.) Anjina Reddy K. R., Principal, MKPM RVILS. During the day the senior batch students entertained the freshers with dance, music and other performances. Fashion walk was organized for the fresher batch where more than 36 students participated. Mr. Shreyas S of BBA LLB and Ms. Nainika S of BBA LLB were crowned Mr. Freshie and Ms. Freshie respectively and Mr. Tarun Kumar from BBA LLB and Ms. Vaishnavi Krishna Kashyap from BA LLB were crowned Freshie Prince and Freshie Princess respectively. The day ended with a performance by the college band "Dhun."

Udbhava - Cultural Week

Students and Staff of RVILS celebrated Udbhava: Cultural Week from 15th to 19th August, 2022. The event consisted of face painting, dumb charades, cooking without fire, best out of waste, rangoli competition, singing and dance competitions, along with a fashion show on the theme Unity in Diversity portraying the diverse cultures in India.
