The MKPM RV Institute of Legal Studies, Bengaluru, under the aegis of Karnataka State Law University (KSLU), Hubballi, successfully organised the Zonal Youth Festival – Bengaluru Zone II, a two-day cultural extravaganza that celebrated youth talent, creativity, and cultural diversity among law students of the Bengaluru Zone. The festival commenced on 27th November 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Mangala Mantapa, MKPM RVILS Campus, with an inaugural ceremony that set an enthusiastic and inspiring tone for the events to follow. The inaugural programme was graced by Prof. (Dr.) C. Basavaraju, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, Karnataka State Law University, Hubballi, as the Chief Guest, and was inaugurated by Shri T. N. Seetharam, Actor and Director, Bengaluru. The programme was presided over by CA Dr. A. S. Vishnu Bharath, Member, Governing Council, MKPM RVILS and Trustee, RSST, Bengaluru, in the esteemed presence of Prof. (Dr.) Anjina Reddy K. R., Principal, MKPM RV Institute of Legal Studies, Bengaluru. The first day of the festival witnessed vibrant participation in a wide range of cultural and fine-arts competitions, including Folk and Tribal Dance, Folk Orchestra, Cartooning, Classical Vocal, Light Vocal, Group Song, and Rangoli, showcasing India’s rich artistic heritage and the immense creative potential of students. The festival culminated in a grand Valedictory Programme held on 28th November 2025 at 4:30 PM at the Mangala Mantapa. The valedictory ceremony was graced by Dr. Vijayanand G. H., Advocate and Managing Director, British Barristers, Bengaluru, as the Chief Guest, whose presence added dignity and inspiration to the occasion. The programme was presided over by Prof. (Dr.) Anjina Reddy K. R., Principal, MKPM RV Institute of Legal Studies, Bengaluru, who provided leadership and guidance throughout the festival. On the second day, students actively participated in dynamic stage and literary events such as Skit, Mimicry, Mime, Spot Painting, Debate, and Elocution, reflecting strong social awareness, intellectual engagement, teamwork, and expressive skills. These events encouraged holistic personality development and strengthened bonds among students from different institutions. The KSLU Zonal Youth Festival – Bengaluru Zone II served as a meaningful platform for nurturing creativity, promoting cultural harmony, and fostering camaraderie among students. The successful conclusion of the festival left behind lasting memories of talent, teamwork, and celebration, reaffirming the commitment of KSLU and MKPM RV Institute of Legal Studies towards the all-round development of future legal professionals.

BES College of Law successfully organised the Inter-Collegiate Kannada Debate Competition – B. L. Lakkegowda Memorial on 15 December 2025, providing a distinguished platform for law students from across Karnataka to showcase their oratory skills and analytical thinking in the Kannada language. Representing MKPM RV Institute of Legal Studies, Mr. Manoj Kumar K. P. and Mr. Indra Simha participated in the competition with commendable enthusiasm and dedication. Demonstrating exceptional articulation, logical reasoning, and depth of legal insight, Mr. Manoj Kumar K. P. secured the 3rd place, winning a cash prize of ₹5,000 along with a trophy, bringing laurels to the institution. The valedictory programme was graced by M. Vinod Kumar, who served as the Chief Guest. The event was further honoured by the presence of Mr. Lakshman, President of the Administrative Committee, BES College; Mr. K. R. Nirmal, President, Bharath Vidhya Samsthe; and Ms. B. L. Nandini, Treasurer. The competition significantly contributed to fostering linguistic pride, advocacy skills, and academic excellence among law students, reinforcing the importance of Kannada in legal discourse and public debate.

The championship was organised by the United Muaythai Association of Tamil Nadu and held at Dynamics 101 MMA, Madurai, from 24th to 26th October 2025. Competing against skilled participants from across the state, Aditya demonstrated remarkable discipline, strength, and sportsmanship throughout the event. His achievement stands as a testament to his dedication to the sport and the rigorous training undertaken in preparation for the championship. The students of MKPM RV Institute of Legal Studies showcased their academic excellence by securing the Runner-Up position at the prestigious Alliance Model GST Competition (AMGSTC) held at Alliance University, Bengaluru, from 11th to 13th September 2025. The three-day national-level academic event simulated the functioning of the GST Council, bringing together students from across the country to engage in discussions on fiscal policy, taxation reforms, and federal governance. Representing the State of Maharashtra, the team comprising Shradha Mahesh Shenoy and Pragathi Narayan, both 7th Semester B.B.A., LL.B. students, presented well-researched arguments on two significant policy issues: the gradual inclusion of petroleum products (natural gas and aviation turbine fuel) under GST and the exemption of health and insurance premiums from GST. Their approach balanced the dual objectives of social welfare and fiscal responsibility, while also reflecting Maharashtra’s economic priorities. Over the course of the competition, the team demonstrated exceptional skills in research, negotiation, and policy drafting, ensuring that Maharashtra’s proposals gained recognition and support during the council sessions. Their success as Runner-Up highlights not only their individual talent but also the institution’s commitment to nurturing analytical, leadership, and advocacy skills among its students.

Mr. R. Lakshmi Ranganatha from 8th Semester B.A,LL.B., Mr. Likhith M. P. from 8th Semester B.A,LL.B. and Ms. Deepika K. M. from 8th Semester B.B.A,LL.B. participated in the B.M. Sreenivasaiah Memorial 10th Moot Court Competition, 2025. The team made it to the Semi-Finals, and Mr. R.Lakshmi Ranganatha was awarded the Best Orator (Male).

The Girls Volleyball Team of MKPM RVILS secured the fourth position in KSLU's Inter-Collegiate Volleyball Tournament for Women, 2024- 25 organized by Karnataka State Law University and MKPM RV Institute of Legal Studies Bengaluru on 13th March, 2025. The title of Best Setter was also secured by Ms. Bhumika S. from 4th Semester B.A.,LL.B.

Ms. Likitha N Prasad of 9th Semester B.B.A., LL.B. (Author) and Likith S of 7th Semester B.B.A., LL.B (Co-author) secured 1st position in the National Online Essay competition organised by the Career College of Law, Bhopal. The competition was conducted on 25th September 2024 and results were declared on 25th October 2024.

Mr. Nihit Sahay from 7th Sem B.A.,LL.B and Ms .Deepika K.M and Mr. Prakayath Ram from 7th Sem B.B.A.,LL.B secured the 4th Place in Best Memorials Award in the 7th Surana & Surana & KLE Law College National Constitutional Law Moot Court, Competition 2024 conducted from 22nd to 24th November, 2024.

Ms. Srinidhi M. Joshi and Ms. Rachana D. of 9th Semester B.B.A.,LL.B. 5 Year Integrated Degree Course participated in the Corporate Law Competition named “Tactical Triumph” conducted by Centre for Corporate Law, PES University, Bengaluru and secured the Best Drafters Award from 21st to 22nd October, 2024.

Ms. Likitha N Prasad of 9th Semester B.B.A.,LL.B. secured the title of Second Best Rapporteur in the 5th National ADR (Virtual) Competition,2024 organized by The Kerala Law Academy Law College from 17th to 19th October, 2024

The Girls Team and Boys Team for Basketball at MKPM RV Institute of Legal Studies participated in the KSLU Basketball Tournament 2024-25 (Men and Women) held at Kristu Jayanti College of Law, Bengaluru. The Boys Team reached the quarter finals. The Girls Team emerged as 2nd Runners Up.

Ms. Taskeen Sheikh of 8th Sem BA LLB, Ms. Gauri Kulkarni of 8th Sem BBA LLB and Ms. Sai Sri Harshitha of 8th Sem BBA LLB emerged as the Runners Up of 4th St. Joseph’s College of Law National Moot Court Competition, 2024 held from 12-14 July, 2024.

Mr. Yashank Singh from 8th Semester B.B.A.,LL.B. has secured the Best Researcher Award at the 28th National Moot Court Competition conducted by University Law College, Bengaluru.

Ms. Moksha V., Ms. Ayushi Vyas and Ms. Sai Sri Harshitha of 7 th Semester B.B.A.LL.B.were declared as Runners Up in the National Policy Drafting Hackathon organized by NMIMS Competition, Bengaluru from 2 nd to 4 th February, 2024.

Mr. Ashray S and Mr. Shiva Prasad of 7 th Semester B.B.A.LL.B. won the client counseling competition in Lux Et Veritas 2024 National Law fest organized by Faculty of Law, The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, Vadodra from 9th-11th February, 2024.

Mr. T. Venkata Saran, Mr. Manoj M and Mr. Rakshith R of 9 th Semester B.A.LL.B. became the Runners Up in Justice G.D. Kamat Memorial National Moot Court Competition, Goa, 2024 organized by V.M. Salgaokar College of Law, Goa from 9 th to 11 th February, 2024.

Mr. Harsha M Talur of 7 th Semester B.B.A.LL.B., Mr. Nihit Sahay and Mr. Nishchay Sahay of 5 th Semester B.A.LL.B. secured the Runners Up prize in 2 nd Pandit Shri Nityanand Jha National Moot Court Competition 2023-2024 organized by Sandeep University (School of Law), Nashik from 16 th to 18 th February, 2024. Mr. Nishchay Sahay received the award for best researcher.

Ms. Shivani S. of 9 th Semester B.B.A.LL.B. received the consolation prize in KILPAR State level Model Assembly Competition held on 5th March, 2024 after the Bangalore level (Zonal level).

Students of RV Institute of Legal Studies have won the 6th B.P. Holla Memorial Model Parliament Competition organized by Lahari Law Academy, Bengaluru on 2nd December, 2023. Mr. Sumukha H S of 3rd Semester B.A.LL.B. won the Best Speaker Award and Mr. Manoj K.P. won the Best Prime Minister Award.

Mr. Anirudh Ramesh of 7th Semester B.A.LL.B and Mr. Harsha M Talur of 7th Semester B.B.A.LL.B. won the Inter College Debate Competition organized by N.A. Global Law School, Bengaluru on 16th December, 2023.

Mr. Harshath Naik of 7th Semester B.A.LL.B. won the Best Speaker Award in 11th UFYLC Ranka Moot Court Competition organized by University Five Year Law College – Ranka, Jaipur from 9th to 11th December, 2023. The other team members were – Mr. Harshavardhan C. and Mr. Srikanth N N, students of 7th Semester B.A.LL.B.

Mr. Harshavardhan C. and Mr. Harshath Naik, students of 7th Semester B.A.LL.B. won the Runners Up Title in the 1st National Debate Competition organized by NMIMS School of Law, Bengaluru from 2nd to 4th February, 2024. Mr. Harshavardhan C. bagged the Best Speaker Award.

Mr. Damodar M. Nayak, Ms. Varshika Sai Kanala, students of 9th Semester B.B.A.LL.B. and Mr. Anirudh Ramesh of 7th Semester B.A.LL.B. have won the 14th National Moot Court Competition organized by School of Law, Christ (Deemed-to-be-University) in association with Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas from 2nd to 4th February, 2024.

Ms. Gauri Kulkarni of 6th Semester B.B.A.LL.B. and Ms. Taskeen Shaik of 6th Semester B.A.LL.B. participated and secured Runners Up position in the 1st National Client Counselling Competition held virtually by Prestige Institute of Management and Research, Indore on 21st and 22nd October, 2023.

Mr. Anirudh Ramesh of VI Semester B.A. LL.B. and Mr. Harsha M Talur of VI Semester B.B.A. LL.B. have participated in and won the "Tug of Words - Debate Competition" in the cultural fest - YUVA - 2023 'Kala Vaibhava', a National Level Intercollegiate Fest. The cultural fest was organized by SSMRV College, Bengaluru on 21st June, 2023.

Mr. Chinmayee. M of X Semester B.A.LL.B. and Mr. Manoj Kumar K.P of II Semester B.A.LL.B. have bagged the Bembalgi Rolling Shields in Majali and Bembalgi Memorial Rolling Shields State Level Debate Competition organized by Raja Lakhamgouda Law College, Belagavi, Karnataka on 24th June, 2023.

The RV Institute of Legal Studies have created a history by being the first ever college of South Karnataka to bring this ancient rolling accolade since 1939 and breaking the consecutive 12 years' record of Sirsi MES College, Karnataka. This victory creates an impression in the history of RVILS. "

Ms. Vaishnavi Joshi of IX Semester B.A., LL.B. bagged Best Speaker Award and Mr. Shreya D. of VII Semester B.B.A., LL.B. secured Best Researcher Award participated in 6th Seth Jagannath Bajaj Memorial RNGBU International Moot Court Competition, 2023, organised by RNB Global University, Rajasthan held from 10/2/2023 to 11/2/2023. Mr Viswaranjan of IX Semester B.A., LL.B. was their team mate.

The Student team consisting of Ms.Shrinidhi Joshi, Ms. Rachana D., & Mr. Ashray S.of 5th Semester, B.B.A., LL.B. were semi-finalists and Ms.Shrinidhi Joshi won the Best Mooter Award, in 3rd G.D. Kamath Memorial National Moot Court Competition, Goa, 2023 organized by V.M. Salgaonkar College of Law, Goa, from 27/1/2023 to 29/1/2023.

The Student team of Mr. Harsha M. Talur of 5th Semester, B.B.A., LL.B. Mr. Nishchay Sahay & Mr. Nihith Sahay of 3rd Semester B.A., LL.B. participated and won Runners Up title in the 2nd Moot Court Competition organized by Legal Lock from 4/2/2023 to 5/2/2023. It was a great privilege for our students to have appeared before the bench composed of Hon'ble Justice Vineet Kothari, Chief Justice of Gujarat High Court (Retd.) & Designated Senior Counsel; Adv. Depak Jain, Former Advocate General of Punjab & Haryana and Adv. Aslam Ahmed, Partner at Singhania & Co. (LLP) for the final round of the competition.

Mr. Hoysala, 3rd Semester B.A., LL.B. was selected as a University Blue and represented KSLU’s Basket Ball Team.

Mr. Surya G.S., Mr. Rohan Raju Urs, Ms. Sanjana R. Prasad and Ms. Pratiha R. Simhan, of 3rd Semester B.B.A.,LL.B won the Sanskrit Quiz, General Quiz and Debate Competitions in the All India Inter Collegiate Fest at SSMRV College, Bengaluru.

Students of RVILS emerged as winners of 34th YMCA Inter Collegiate Model Youth Parliament Competition, 2018 under Law College Category and also bagged following individual prizes:
