Preparing for the Practice of Law for the Future
The Career Guidance and Placement Cell of MKPM RV Institute of Legal Studies (M. K. Panduranga Setty Memorial RV Institute of Legal Studies) organised an informative talk on “Preparing for the Practice of Law for the Future” on 01 June 2026 (Monday) in the Shashwathi Auditorium, MKPM RVILS Campus. The programme was conducted under the guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Anjina Reddy K. R., Principal, and Mrs. Bhavana C, Career Guidance and Placement Cell Coordinator & Academic & IQAC Coordinator, MKPM RV Institute of Legal Studies.
The session was delivered by T. Gunaseelan, an eminent legal professional practising in Malaysia. Drawing from his extensive professional experience, he shared valuable insights on the changing dimensions of the legal profession, the growing influence of technology in legal practice, and the skills required for aspiring lawyers to succeed in a dynamic and globalised legal environment. Prof. (Dr.) Anjina Reddy K. R., in his Presidential address emphasised the importance of continuous learning, adaptability, professional ethics, advocacy, and effective communication in building a successful legal career.
The session witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, who benefited from the speaker’s practical guidance on career planning and professional development. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks, marking a successful and enriching learning experience for all participants.
Awareness Programme on Higher Education and Career Opportunities
The Career Guidance and Placement Cell of MKPM RV Institute of Legal Studies (M. K. Panduranga Setty Memorial RV Institute of Legal Studies) organised an Awareness Programme on Higher Education and Career Opportunities for students with the objective of guiding them towards informed academic and professional choices. The programme was conducted under the guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Anjina Reddy K. R., Principal, and Ms. Bhavana C., Academic Coordinator, IQAC Coordinator, and Career Guidance and Placement Cell Coordinator, MKPM RV Institute of Legal Studies.
The programme featured Mr. Abhilash K, Business Development Manager, as the resource person. During his address, Mr Abhilash K provided valuable insights into various higher education pathways, emerging career opportunities, skill development, and the significance of continuous learning in today’s competitive environment. He highlighted the importance of acquiring industry-relevant skills, professional certifications, and global exposure to enhance career prospects.
The session also focused on helping students understand the evolving employment landscape and the opportunities available across different sectors. Students actively participated in the interactive discussion and clarified their queries regarding higher studies, career planning, and professional growth.
The programme proved to be highly informative and beneficial, enabling students to gain a clearer understanding of the academic and career opportunities available to them and inspiring them to make well-informed decisions about their future.
Lecture on Introduction to Insurance Law
The Career Guidance and Placement Cell of RVILS organised a lecture on “An Introduction to Insurance Law” on 3rd November, 2025.
The session was delivered by Mr. Chethan P., National Manager – Legal Motor TP Claims, and Mr. Dhruva Kumar N., Deputy Vice President – Legal Motor TP Claims, from ICICI Lombard General Insurance Company Ltd.
The lecture introduced students to the fundamentals of insurance law and legal practice in the insurance sector, providing insight into career opportunities within the insurance and corporate legal industry.
Training on Soft Skills
As part of an IQAC initiative, MKPM RV Institute of Legal Studies (RVILS) organised a Training on Soft Skills for students on 16th and 19th January, 2024.
The session was conducted by Dr. Annapoorna Ravichander, Author, TEDx Speaker, Communicator and Trainer. The training focused on developing essential professional skills such as communication, confidence and workplace readiness, supporting students in preparing for internships, interviews and professional environments.
Career Counselling Session on Civil Services Examination
The Training Academy of RVILS organised a Career Counselling Session on the Civil Services Examination on 19th July, 2023.
The session was delivered by Dr. T.V. Raju, Director, RVEI, who guided students on the structure of the Civil Services Examination, preparation strategies and career opportunities in public service. The session aimed to encourage students to explore careers in the civil services and understand the pathways to enter public administration.
Preparation for UPSC Examinations
Under an IQAC initiative, the Training Academy of RVILS organised an interactive session on Preparation for UPSC Civil Services Examination on 20th June, 2023.
The session was delivered by Mr. Kshitij Verma, UPSC CSE 2023 – All India Rank 366, who shared insights on the structure of the Civil Services Examination, preparation strategies and the importance of consistent academic discipline while preparing for competitive examinations.
The programme was presided over by Prof. (Dr.) Anjina Reddy K.R., Principal, RVILS.
Career Guidance Session on Administrative Services
Under an IQAC initiative, the Training Academy of RVILS organised a Career Guidance Session on 14th June, 2023, in association with BSC Career Guidance and IAS Academy, Bengaluru.
The session was conducted to guide students on career opportunities in administrative services and to introduce them to the preparation required for competitive examinations in the field of public administration.
