National Service  Scheme

The National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit of MKPM RV Institute of Legal Studies (RVILS) encourages students to participate in community service and social outreach activities. NSS is a programme of the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, created to involve students in initiatives that benefit society while building a sense of civic responsibility. 

Through the NSS Unit, students of RVILS take part in awareness programmes, community engagement activities, and volunteer initiatives organised on campus and in nearby communities. These programmes allow students to understand social issues closely and contribute through meaningful service.
The activities of the unit reflect the spirit of the NSS motto “Not Me, But You.”

Yoga day Celebration

The MKPM RV Institute of Legal Studies celebrated the International Day of Yoga on 22 June 2026 .The programme was conducted in association with NCC & NSS. with great enthusiasm and active participation from students, faculty members, and staff.

The programme was conducted under the guidance and encouragement of Prof. (Dr.) Anjina Reddy K. R., Principal of the institution, whose continued support towards student welfare and holistic development contributed significantly to the success of the event.

The gathering was coordinated by Ms. Bhavana C., Academic and IQAC Coordinator, who highlighted the importance of Yoga in maintaining physical fitness, mental well-being, and emotional balance in today’s demanding lifestyle.

The yoga session was effectively conducted by Mr. Mohankumar N.N, Physical Education Director (PED), who guided participants through various yoga asanas, pranayama exercises, and meditation techniques. He also emphasized the importance of incorporating Yoga into daily life for achieving a healthy body and a peaceful mind.

Students, faculty members, and staff enthusiastically participated in the session and experienced the benefits of Yoga firsthand. The celebration reflected the institution’s commitment to promoting health, wellness, and holistic development among its academic community.

The programme concluded with a message encouraging all participants to adopt Yoga as a regular practice and embrace a healthier and more balanced lifestyle.

World Environment Day

The MKPM RV Institute of Legal Studies observed World Environment Day through a special programme organized by the NSS Unit and the Environmental Club

 to promote environmental awareness and encourage sustainable practices among students.

The programme was conducted under the guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Anjina Reddy K. R., Principal of the institution, who emphasized the importance of environmental conservation and the collective responsibility of individuals in protecting natural resources for future generations.

Ms. Bhavana C. encouraged students to adopt eco-friendly habits and actively participate in initiatives aimed at preserving the environment and promoting sustainable development.

As part of the programme, students and faculty members participated in awareness activities highlighting issues such as climate change, waste management, biodiversity conservation, and the importance of reducing plastic usage. The event also served as a platform to inspire students to become responsible citizens committed to environmental stewardship.

The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, faculty members, and NSS volunteers, reflecting the institution’s commitment to fostering environmental consciousness and sustainable practices within the academic community.

The event concluded with a collective pledge to protect the environment and contribute towards building a greener and healthier future.

NSS Special Camp

The NSS Unit of MKPM RV Institute of Legal Studies successfully organised a Seven-Day NSS Special Camp at Sacred School and College from 30th April 2026 to 4th May 2026. The camp was conducted with the objective of promoting social responsibility, community engagement, awareness, and holistic student development through various service-oriented and educational activities.

The camp commenced with a survey of Ganapathihalli village undertaken by NSS volunteers in association with Legal Services Janaspandana. An awareness session on legal services was delivered by Sri. Srishail Bhimashen Bagadi, Senior Civil Judge and Member Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, Bengaluru Rural District. The day also featured a drug awareness programme conducted by the Tavarakkere Police and a mime performance by NSS volunteers highlighting the importance of a no-smoking, drug-free, and plastic-free environment.

As part of the Samruddhi Programme, NSS volunteers actively participated in Shramadhana activities at Kolur Government School, contributing towards community welfare and cleanliness initiatives.

The camp also included several awareness and welfare programmes such as a Health Camp organised in collaboration with RV Dental College and Aster Hospital, a Career Guidance session by Sri. Raghottam Joshi from Swami Vivekananda Youth Movement, Dharwad, and a First Aid Awareness Programme by Dr. Sunil Nayak of the Indian Red Cross Society. Sports and recreational activities were also organised to encourage teamwork and community participation.

A Plantation Drive led by Dr. Suma Sanjeev K. promoted environmental awareness and sustainability among the participants and local community members. The evenings were marked by vibrant cultural programmes under SAMSKRUTHI and recreational activities for women, fostering community interaction and cultural exchange.

The concluding day of the camp featured a Dental Camp conducted by RV Dental College, followed by a Legal Services Awareness Programme organised in collaboration with the District Legal Services Authority, Bengaluru Rural District. The camp concluded with a Deepotsava Programme, symbolising unity, service, and social harmony.

The NSS Special Camp provided students with a valuable opportunity to engage directly with the community, develop leadership and social responsibility, and contribute meaningfully towards societal welfare.

International Yoga Day – 2024

A yoga session on 21st June, 2024, to observe International Yoga Day, with the participation of volunteers from the NSS , Legal Services Clinic and the Department of Physical Education.

The session was led by Mr. Srinivasa S.M., Assistant Director, Department of Physical Education and included a one-hour practice covering various yoga asanas such as Pranamasana, Hasta Uttanasana and Padahastasana.

Ms. Athira L. Raj, a student of the 8th Semester B.A. LL.B. and a certified yoga instructor with 11 years of experience, assisted in conducting the session. The programme was attended by students, faculty members and staff of the institution, promoting awareness about physical well-being and healthy living.
