Seminar on Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita

RVILS organised a seminar on “Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita” in association with INDGenius Bengaluru South. The session was delivered by Sri Madhukar M. Deshpande, Advocate and Senior Standing Counsel for the Government of India, High Court of Karnataka.
The seminar examined key aspects of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, including the new nomenclature introduced in the legislation and provisions relating to offences such as snatching, community service and protections concerning women and children.
As part of the programme, a short film titled “Kargil Vijay Diwas – 20 Years of Kargil Victory”, produced by the Indian Army in 2019, was screened in observance of Kargil Vijay Diwas.

The seminar was conducted in collaboration with Disha Bharat to commemorate the 76th year of India’s Independence.
A panel discussion featured Sri. Ashwin D. Gowda (IRS Officer, Managing Director, Karnataka Silk Development Corporation), Sri Hariprakash Konemane (Editor-in-Chief & CEO, Vistara News) and Sri Nikunj Gupta (Co-Founder & CFO, Chai Point).
A second session on best practices featured Sri. Sandeep Vasista (Senior, Swami Vivekananda Youth Movement) Sri Sriniket Lakkur, Sri Sathya Sai University for Human Excellence, and Smt. Rekha Ramachandran (Founder & Secretary, Disha Bharat).
The valedictory address was delivered by Dr. Arathi V.B. (Founder and Chairperson, Vibhu Academy).
The symposium brought together academicians and students from various institutions to discuss youth leadership, ethical governance and social responsibility.

The seminar was conducted by the Human Rights Cell in association with the Indo-Tibetan Friendship Society.
The programme was graced by Mrs. Norzin Dolma (Minister, Department of Information and International Relations, CTA Tibetan Govt. in Exile, Dharamshala) as the Chief Guest. The Guest of Honour was Mr. Madabhushi Madan Gopal (IAS (Retd.), Former Additional Chief Secretary, Department of Forests, Environment and Ecology, Government of Karnataka).

The programme had 3 sessions with Dr. T.V. Raju (Director Planning, RVEI, Bengaluru), Dr. S. Ranganath (Former Director, RV Institute of Sanskrit Studies, Bengaluru) and Sri Jayasimha (Professional Trainer, Bengaluru) as the Resource Persons.
